Nokia Introduces First Android Smartphone
Nokia is ready to launch its first android phone, named Nokia Normandy, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Monday February 24, 2014 according to the news reports. This Nokia Normandy powered by Google does not provide the access to Google play application store, but it will run the apps created by Nokia and Microsoft like the Here Map and Mix Radio. The Finnish headset based on the open source operating system is embattled at the developing market where the inexpensive Smartphones are already ruling. Nokia’s effort to restrict Windows Phone for high end devices and the introduction of the android in the emerging markets is an effort to win back its position. But the forked Android system of Nokia Normandy may heavily take toll on its $7.4 billion acquisition by Microsoft.
